CALENDAR ART CHALLENGE

Original February Picture |
This is the second month of a new 2015 Art and Sole Challenge issued by Darcy Wilkinson, artist extraordinaire. Each month, participants alter the appropriate month's art piece from their calendar collection. My calendar's February art was "LADY READING" by an American watercolorist, Childe Hassam... 1898.
Each month, we're given techniques to include in our alterations. This month, our paint effects included using cling film and/or bubble wrap in some way and adding some corrugated card to the mix...what d'ya think?
Looking forward to seeing what other participants have done. Why don't you come and check it out with me... go to http://art-and-sole.blogspot.co.uk/
Thanks for stopping by...
Big Hugs til next time,

Very nicely done. My kitchen calendar this year is the one of ladies reading - I may have to start altering them as the months get used up.
ReplyDeleteLove this... Leaving the lady reading and adding the additional features brought it to life.

Oh so get the "freedom" of disappearing into a new book :D Great page Abby :D XXX
ReplyDeleteFantastic transformation, loving the bubble wrap background and the word freedom, it is a lovely thing to be able to get lost in a good book :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteSo in awe of your digi skills Abby, I love hunting your finished pieces trying to pick out the added bits. Great page.
