STARTING SLOWLY

Hi Folks! Settling back to my "normal" life and somewhat of a routine again. I'm starting slowly with two art challenges... it's good to get back to creating digital art pieces- always a challenge.

 

The first one is for SUNDAY POSTCARD ART and their theme is "friends."



The second challenge piece is for INSPIRATION AVENUE whose theme is "time." For this, I used a photo I took in Ethiopia of my Kara friend's mother-in-law who is 100+ years old. She's amazing!! Her only problem is her hearing!!

BOATS, STARS and SWEET TIME...

THOUGHTS OF SUMMER

For some inexplicable reason, summer is a reflective time for me... thoughts and possibilities are endless and plentiful! I found a wonderful and challenging online magazine that fits right into my frame of mind. SMITH MAGAZINE  is a U.S. based online magazine devoted to storytelling in all its forms and it welcomes contributions from all its readers. Since 2008, it's been quite well known for its series of Six-Word Memoirs Projects. A memoir is any story that encapsulates your life, what you remember, what's important to you. The six-word form is wonderful because it helps you distill what's really important. Some of these projects include six-word memoirs on love and heartbreak, memoirs for teens, on the Green Life, on America...there are so many now that you're sure to find several in which to participate. I'm going to include one in each of my future postings. Here's the first...
