HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Some new pieces of art to answer blog challenges...
Flicker's DIGITALMANIA introduced us to the art of the very well known  Romanian photographer and artist, Caras Ionet. Here are my pieces inspired by Caras...


[Although this picture may look a bit surreal, it is truly based on a photograph I took while staying at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya. The giraffes are welcome to come into the manor house...or put their heads in the windows to get "treats" or a friendly hug from the guests. My daughter and I had great fun!]
SUNDAY POSTCARD ART was interested in finding out about our favorite pet...mine was named KELLY. She was a Yellow-Naped Amazon parrot who talked, sang, danced and provided day-long dialogue if engaged. Here's Kelly...

    What wealth of wonderful art, so varied, and covering so many emotions. You have such talent in so many directions. I like them all, but the giraffe through the window is fun, and does have a surreal touch.
    Your last piece interests me particularly. You inspired me this week to create an Anna Higgie-type collage/sketch, which I have posted today. I loved doing it and will do more. I love your personal take on the last one. Great work all of them.

    You are so interesting! I don't think I've truly read through anything like that before.
    So wonderful to discover someone with a few genuine thoughts on this topic.
    Seriously.. thanks for starting this up. This site is something that is needed on the internet, someone with a bit of originality!
