ART SOOTHES MY SOUL
July 17, 2016
Hello there, dear readers!
The sun is shining; we just saw our grandson marching and playing in his BURLINGTON TEEN TOURING BAND in LeRoy, New York; the sheetrock is going up to make the walls inside our new home...life is good. I hope things are going well for you, where you are, as well.
I so enjoyed putting together the following pieces of challenge art this week...
SUNDAY POSTCARD ART was in the summer mode declaring its theme to be PICNIC...
DIGITALMANIA asked challenge participants to create art in the style of one Maria Pace Wynters , a mixed media artist.
Here is one of hers...
and here's my creation using her technique...
That's it for this moment in time...short and sweet. I'm working on another that I'll post when completed. Meanwhile, enjoy your evening and weekend.
Thanks for stopping in.
Sending hugs and love to you all,
abbyj
Great Picnic Postcard....
ReplyDeleteAh, young love and a picnic by the sea. What could be better! I hope there won't be any more birds coming along, that could get scary. Love the black and white effect for the vintage feel. Thanks for playing along with the challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove your picnic card of the old days.
ReplyDeleteThe last piece of art is gorgeous‼
Have great Time, Abby 😃
Picnics by the sea are special. It looks so dramatic out there in black and white, and the black birds add to the drama. It's a super original postcard for the theme.
ReplyDeleteYour colour painting is so different with all the lovely bright colours, it's beautifully done.
What a great photo of your grandson! I love your Maria Pace Wynters piece - it's both whimsical and lovely.
ReplyDeletebeautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the way the red in the corner catches the eye!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage work and your Pace-Wynter picture is amazing and spot on.
ReplyDeleteThere is no better picnic than one close to the water, Abby, and you have beautifully created that scene for me in your SPA postcard. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of creations!!!
