THE BEAUTY OF AUTUMN 
October 23, 2013

Autumn...what a beautiful season in Central New York! The colors are beyond imagination and are a wonderful gift to those of us who live here. I don't think I could live in a place that didn't experience all four seasons. Each one has its own magic and its own sense of wonder. 
In the realm of autumn, COLLAGE OBSESSION challenged artists to create a piece of art with a scarecrow theme. My scarecrow is just  a bit unconventional!
THINK MONDAY-THINK ATC wanted a black and white theme...I HAD to add a bit of color despite the challenge requirements...

For FLICKER's DIGITALMANIA group, we were introduced to Chicago pop- artist Tom Fedro. His art is a bit challenging for someone who doesn't draw or sketch!  These pieces were inspired by his art...

    I agree with you about enjoying the four seasons. The fall tree is splendid. I like your unusual scarecrow. I think the splash of color enhances your black and white piece. You have inspired me to look up Tom Fedro. As always, nice work.

    The leaves on our trees are turning colour and dropping, but perhaps it is the weather we have had this year, because they are all just a dingy brown. Oh, how I would love to see that flaming orange of your trees and just drink in that colour.
    Your scarecrow looks like a gardening scarecrow, caring for all the plants - he's a good one, and I like the black and white striped stockings too. But your pieces inspired by Tom Fedro are amazing, and I really must look him up.

    I agree your thought about autumn. We have also for wonderful seasons here in Finland. Now trees have already dropped leaves and soon we will get snow, hope so.
    Your art is so amazingly wonderful again. It's charm is to me that it's so unique and excellent.
